Pre-Christmas Present

Well, the sound of the title may sound good, but it’s actually something bad. Obviously. I fell from my bike. Many people keep going like: How did it happen? You so old already and you fell off a bike? *smirks*. Well i  have one thing to say to them, nobody’s perfect. And so are you.

I have been through many injuries in my biking life but this is the worse case. I was cycling around when my hand slipped. The handlebars dragged me with my body at the side of the bike, legs hanging out, knees scratching the pavement…. It was a very painful moment. It’s happening all in slow-motion. I could even remember the sight of the front of the bike dragging my knee and ”A BAD KNEE INJURY IS COMING” flashed through my mind. Why? Because it was not just a fall, it was a DRAG for 40cm, on rocky pavement.

Well in the end I had a wound the size of a 50cent coin. Slightly bigger. With blood coming out. Part of my flesh is showing and i think you wouldn’t wanna imagine it in your head, or you will vomit. I almost had a picture of it posted here.

That night, afraid of an infection, we went to the doctors for medication and miraculously, my wound was heart-shaped, with a sharp end and a top that looks like a ”3”.

The Surprise!

Well, i forgot to blog yesterday. SO here goes the post today.

Ok, So i am here in Muar. Somewhere in the Johor part of Malaysia. The home of the infamous Namewee. My mom actually knows him and even can bring us to his house. This time it’s slightly different. I am currently here with my ”blogging buddy”, Ryan Ooi.

The life here is simple, just get up, breakfast, work or do whatever you do, and go back. Now you just read the basic everyday life of an uncle that you see in a kopitiam. Everytime you’ll see uncles and their friends sitting at a kopitiam, chit-chatting, living their final years.

Tough Luck…..

Well, let’s just say that the day did not go well. 

This morning was rushed, golf killed my normal waking up time. But at least it was a great thing to wake up too. Sleeping being my hobby is quite a bad thing for me if i am required to wake up early on that day. I usually go back to sleep even after my alarm rings, and in the end wake up late and rush through preparation.

Well, golf is quite a tiring game if you don’t like hot weather or walking long distances. The experience of golfing for the past 10 years has trained me for walking, and i think i can out-walk most people i know. Not to show-off or anything. I played bad today, don’t even wanna talk about it but the game was quite fun.

It was tiring but luckily got some sleep on the ride back home. It was a typical golfing day but tomorrow’s gonna be a big surprise! If you really wanna know about it, tune back in tomorrow night to know what happened!

Restless….

Two very tiring days and I had to be in both of them.

Yesterday was my schools appreciation day, in other words graduation for form 5′s, performances, art selling, etc. etc. Well, the place was very crowded as there are 500 students there with and without parents. My estimation will be that only 250 people bring their parents. And that makes 500 parents, but some brought other relatives too, making it around 600-700 people in the hall. Most of the students are performing but there are still  some that are part of the audience, making around 50 people that are not performing. Last year’s graduates came back to have fun making an extra amount of 100-150 people. In total, around 900 people were in that hall that is the size of  1/3 of a football field. So crowded man!

Most performances are okay, just that the stage lights, the microphone system and the stage itself were bad, worst system i’ve ever seen. Hip-hop crews are good, but the acting was bad, mostly due to the mike system being so crappy, most of us can’t hear a single word!

I just wanna say that today was also restless and tiring. Just had golf in the morning and i don’t think you all will be interested in what i do every week. However, i have some minor improvements in my game and now scoring below 100. Yay to acheivement!

So that’s all, gotta get some rest now, bye!

Uncles…

Today i wanna talk about old uncles.

Due to rain, we (my friends and I) went to mamak instead of going to the usual Summit to have our dinner. Why, because we have tuition at school today. At the mamak, the uncle gave me a pat on the shoulder and started chatting with us throughout the entire meal.

Uncles are very open towards other kids and like to chit-chat with people even though they have no idea of who they are. He was kind and funny at the same time. He shared some life stories with us, apparently he fought in the war too! He had a gun pointed at his head but while he watches all those kung fu stuff back then, did he not only just see, but he learned and he tried it out. It saved his life.

He said that back then children our age were working their asses off and do not get luxury like what we have today. I changed my mingd on wanting more after the uncle left.

Uncles are funny yet nice. Why? They like to joke around with us youngsters and he told me his name was *lau wan tong, in english it’s called old play kid. You get the rest….

Projects

I have no idea on how i feel about projects. Maybe it’s the type of project that makes me excited upon doing it or make me feel like suicide doing it. Some interesting yet hard projects are the ones that get me frustrated upon.

For example the project that i’m currently working on, my art project. They asked me to make something for Deepavali (although it has passed) and so i did the rice paintings. The first impression was always so simple, just colour the rice and paste them on cardboard. Turns out, colour not rich, rice no stick, cardboard destroyed by some good-for-nothing friends. Therefore, i had to make due with a broken cardboard, rice that falls apart after i stick them.

Oh long projects! Why do you always annoy me!?

Best Birthday Evar!!

So far this is the best birthday i ever had in my life.

First, as all of you know, i got a laptop. Partially from my grades, and half from being my birthday present.

But now, i got and iPod Touch!!!! It’s so wonderful that i got the two things that i wanted the most in a week! How amazing is that!? Plus, i’ve just bought my iPod cover and screen protector just now, and i also got WordPress in it. So that means pictexts are going to be up soon, again.

The iPod is just a shrunken iPad. It has all the same features, just more portability.

Finally Back and Typing Again…..

I almost forgot how nice blogiing was already. I just got my new laptop, giving me more motivation to blog and therefore making my blog more attractive. I know i have lost almost all my fellow readers in the past few months because I stopped blogging. I’m sorry for that. Those who are keen to read what i write about my life will now be delighted and infused with joy (i’m using so-called BIG WORDS) that i’m starting up this blog again.

And today  shall be blogging about my new computer. A laptop us not something that a parent can be okay about. There’s always worries in a child when he gets his own stuff like a small toy, he might swallow it. When they are older, school, which is being bullied. And a little bit older than that, their gadgets. Just like me. I don’t know about the future because i have never experienced it first-hand, and i’m not going to make any predictions or anything.

But at the teenage years of life, teens like to have their own stuff and not relying on parents, except financially. And what the parents do is very simple, make them live their lives, earn what you get. Which is right, to a parents mind. But in their minds they’re going like ”What!?” Thats because most kids are spoilt there fore they go ”what!?”. Don’t get me wrong, i earned this laptop myself, it came from the sweat and blood and all the enormous effort i put into my studies (PART of it is true——-Just kidding) so i could earn my dream laptop. I’ve been wanting one for the past 4 years. Turns out, i had to wait till i was so called mature and knows how to manage time and priorities. True true…

Now the other problem is most youngsters are wanting gadgets so much that they beg for it.. Some even threaten their parents. I see some kids nowadays having iPhones and iPods when there are looking like five year olds. Turns out they ARE five year olds. When i was five i had toy soldiers, i had rocking horses, but iPhones!? That’s something new.

Okay, i should talk about my new laptop now. Thinking of the moral behind it is like findind trouble for myself……Just kidding, what trouble could i get except for being whacked by small kids if they read this and saw me in the mall or something?

It’s a Dell inspiron15R.I didn’t get my dream laptop, the XPS15z because of the price. It was 3000++ or 4000++, and dad said i shouldn’t have such an expensive laptop at this age. It looks like any other inspiron laptop from the outside, just bigger (15.6 inch), heavier, and has more features. it has this face recognition thingy that apparently scans my face everytime i log in. Quite cool. The big screen is for mostly gaming (heheheheheh……..) but for work and studies as well. Using this laptop brightens up my life. With the sleek blue outer skin and beautiful keyboards and touchpads. Its a nice laptop, although i still prefer the xps.

The outer skin can be changed and there’s some keyboard problem and beautiful graphics, thanks to the LED display screen.

Laptop Cravings!

As you all know, i’ve been using a crappy desktop for ages now. And now it’s the time to change.

I want to tell you readers beforehand that i am truly sorry for not posting as usually as always.

Now to the main thing. A laptop is what i need to fulfil my life goal, well maybe teenager-colleger goal, but a  laptop is just what i need. My friend has one and he overusues it from when school ends to maybe about 11pm? Thats like being crazy about your laptop. So after i got my good grades to prove that i’m studying (i did get good grades for this time….). So i went surfing the internet for a laptop. My scoolhmate said that any laptop that runs on an i7 processor is a supercomputer. Excluding mac of course.

So this is the laptop that i want so much if i get to skip a grade.

The laptop is a Dell XPS15z. Lately its been one of the latest products created by Dell. It runs on an i5 or i7. But any of them is fine with me. Thats all, hope you agree with my choice of laptops.

Workout

Workouts are very tiring for some and yet torturing. It is the worst experience in an entire life, but yet we must do it at some point. So workouts are like study.

Today is my workout time in my life. I have officially reached the POINT. And now my hands are shivering as i type. First of all, today should be a boring day. But my dad is afraid of getting the “bored poisoning”? And decided to make us go do some sports.

Look, the reason we go to a golf club to excercise and not somewhere near home is that we must somehow live a higher-class life since we moved to this house. At least thats what i think. Well look, mom has made us go swimming at the clubs pool for like 5-10 times? And yet we have a pool just at walking distance! Why drive a car 15 minutes just to swim? I know it’s a bigger pool but can’t you just swim more reps if you really want to get fitter? This is an obvois sign that she wants to upgrade life. And yet she’s always talking about saving money on technological stuff.

And one more thing, technology is overtaking us right now. Why can’t we blend in and get some technological device that we can use for an entire lifetime? Rather than spending money on temporary entertainment right? (By that i mean entertainment that can support you for a day or two)

I know that you’re wondering what the heck was i thinking when i typed the title.

Well here’s why, Exams dammit! The second wave of enemies has arrived! Use your brains! We must defend our marks at all costs!!! That was just epic. Anyways, exams are here and harder than ever, more work to do, less time to squander, and hopefully high numbers appear on the paper. Exam is a very problematic thing i the process of learning. Just like a car’s test run, excel or get thrown back to the service centre.

So for this test, biology is 2x harder, physics 1.5x harder, hardest= history. 10x harder. Unbelievable. Wow. Stupendous. Marvelous. Deadly. Murderous.

Bersih 2.0

This post is dedicated to the fellow malaysians that participated in the Bersih 2.0 rally.

First of all, Bersih= clean. That’s what the whole thing’s about. You’ve probably heard about it in the news and from other sources. Even the other countries support bersih.

What’s the rally for? The cause: (so i heard) Malaysia is having an election soon, and the PM decided to cheat, chinese and indians (i’m not racist…) are usually staying in one place. E.g malacca, penang, etc…. I don’t know about indians, but anyways, the malay PM drew a circle on where 1 representitive, could be selected from each circle to be the leader of that area. The PM made a circle as big in a place with 20,000 chinese/indians with a place with 5,000-10,000 malays. THE SAME FREAKING SIZE! It was so unfair that people had to protest against the government.

Funny thing is, malays, indians and chinese all attended the rally. Now that’s what i call 1Malaysia. There’s this Aunty Bersih, a.k.a Malaysia Lady of Liberty, stood up amongst all the other protestors. She wore a yellow shirt with BERSIH on it. Which was illegal in Malaysia. So as a chinese, i totally give my 100% support to bersih! Even other countries like singapore, australia stood up for the bersih people. You people rock!

Cards

Lately, i have an obsession with cards. But before i get to that, i want to apologize to all my readers for not posting recently, exams are coming soon so i won’t be planning to blog much about my experience again.

Now back to the card thing. Ask yourself: when you were young, did you ever get amazed by all those mind-blowing tricks that magicians perform? Be honest to yourself. I have. So thats why when this card thing happened, i can’t resist to learn some new tricks. I have a few decks, all of them are just normal playing cards, but just not MEANT for playing. They are collectors stuff, magician cards…… They come from America, and the quality is as smooth as a feather, making the cards slide out of your hand, even with a tight grip. That’s of course if the card is fresh-from-the-box.

Angry Birds Addiction

Lately, my dad’s been addicted to the popular iPad game, Angry birds. That game has gotten popularity for downloads on the app store, you readers also most probably have played it before. The game includes a lot of the laws of physics, but one thing is that the birds can’t fly. Don’t they have wings? To me, why must we launch a bird with a slingshot? Weird much?

Anyways, the game is addictive so i can’t say much about that. People love shooting birds off a slingshot, so that’s fine with me. I’ve already finished the game so that app is probably useless to me….. But now it’s got my dad addicted. 

Father’s Day.

Yesterday was father’s day and therefore, i have yet another thing to say:

Dad, i’ve been your son for 14 years now, and you’ve never failed to keep this family safe and happy, making corrections whenever something goes wrong (although i still have to correct your grammar…), making the correct decisions, paying our bills, being my inspiration………..

There are just so many things that i can’t finish.
